As a Manufacturing Engineer in a high production, large volume machine shop ... I had to insure that the cost estimates I presented to our clients were realistic and accurate. An error of even a small amount of say $.25 ... over 10,000 parts ... meant a loss of $2,5000. No small chunk of change ...as I'm sure you know. That's why KipwareQTE® includes things that most cost estimating software don't even think of ... like perishable tooling as one example.
