New Year Coming ... New Changes and Releases Coming !!!!

With the coming of the New Year ... we at Kentech Inc. are very excited about all the new changes and all the new "stuff" 2011 will bring.

THIS WILL BE OUR 25TH YEAR IN BUSINESS !!!

We will be welcoming new additions to our staff that will add new dimensions to both our development and our customer support. Watch for our new entry into social networking ... Twitter, Facebook and more ... become a follower and our friend and get "members only" access to great extras and deals.

We will be releasing new versions of KipwareCYC ( in January ) and other titles ( in the 1st quarter of 2011 ) that will include new and more powerful user interfaces and that will take full advantage of the power and flexibility of Windows 7 and the PC's that run it. We are in the development process of taking all our "proven-in-the-trenches" software titles and making them even more user user friendly and more powerful ... but yet retaining all the real world features that have made them so successful over 25 years.

We will also be blogging up a storm ... so visit us often and keep up to date on all the exciting news and machine shop software that can help your shop make 2011 an IMPACT year for your business.

New KipwareEDM® Features

Kentech Inc. is pleased to announce the new TAPERING feature to our KipwareEDM® conversational programming software for wire EDM.

Now each conversational programming feature option contains the tapering field options as shown in the pic below ... once completed KipwareEDM® will auto-insert the correct taper commands into the generated G code program where appropriate ... and the correct cancel command also where appropriate in the code.

Tapering is also available in any program created through the SketchPad as well.

The current version of KipwareEDM® is 3.0.0

KipwareQTE® Upgrade Notice

Kentech Inc. has released the latest version of KipwareQTE® - Machine Shop Job Costing and Estimating Software ... Version 8.0.0.

New features in this release include :

• Separate MARK-UP percentages are now available for each category ... material, tooling, labor, non-machining as well as programming and set-up.
• Mark-up percentages can be saved in a database file for easy recall ... are auto-loaded at start-up and can be altered any time for any area during the estimating process.
• Mark-up percentages as entered at the time the quote is created are saved with each estimate and re-loaded as-is when the estimate is re-loaded.
